Repeating and Dynamically Added Folders and Forms in Mentor EDC

  • Use repeating Folders and Forms for Forms or Visits that may be completed an unknown number of times.
  • There may be zero occurrences or many occurrences of this type of form during the study timeframe.
  • Examples of a typical repeating form include Concomitant Medication and Adverse Event forms.
  • Similarly, an unscheduled visit is a folder with many forms in it.
The entire folder may be repeatable if the subject arrives for a number of unscheduled visits.
  • Repeating Objects (Folders, Forms) display in the Navigation Tree showing a plus sign (+) usually on a color background and may include a description to identify the type of repeating object.
  • Scroll down for details about Dynamically Added Folders and Forms in this system.

To Add Repeatable options, follow the steps below.

  1. Double click on the repeating form/folder you wish to add.
  2. The names of these repeating forms/folders may start with the word “Add.” For example, to add a Medical History form, click on the “Add Medical History” option, which has the repeating form icon on it, see figures below for form and folder examples.
  3. After you click on the “Add …” option, a blank form (or label) icon displays, with the form (or folder) name next to it.
If you added a form, the form automatically displays in the form pane on the right.
  4. If you added a folder, select the folder and click on any form to begin adding data.
