Repeating and Dynamically Added Folders and Forms in Mentor EDC
- Use repeating Folders and Forms for Forms or Visits that may be completed an unknown number of times.
- There may be zero occurrences or many occurrences of this type of form during the study timeframe.
- Examples of a typical repeating form include Concomitant Medication and Adverse Event forms.
- Similarly, an unscheduled visit is a folder with many forms in it.
The entire folder may be repeatable if the subject arrives for a number of unscheduled visits. - Repeating Objects (Folders, Forms) display in the Navigation Tree showing a plus sign (+) usually on a color background and may include a description to identify the type of repeating object.

To Add Repeatable options, follow the steps below.
- Double click on the repeating form/folder you wish to add.
- The names of these repeating forms/folders may start with the word “Add.” For example, to add a Medical History form, click on the “Add Medical History” option, which has the repeating form icon on it, see figures below for form and folder examples.
- After you click on the “Add …” option, a blank form (or label) icon displays, with the form (or folder) name next to it.
If you added a form, the form automatically displays in the form pane on the right. - If you added a folder, select the folder and click on any form to begin adding data.

Dynamically Added Folders and Forms
When configured in your environment, the EDC system contains a feature that dynamically adds specified Forms/Folders to a record, when the data entered meets the conditions set.
